A global crisis and many lockdowns in the span of the last two years have made us refocus and reassess various aspects of our lives. A major part of that reassessment revolves around what we consume and the impact our lives have on the environment.
As a result of this developing reflection, many are opting for healthier diets, and this shift can be seen when plant-based diets are gaining popularity. Consumers are looking for meat-free and dairy-free options in their baskets, and where there is a demand, corporations strive to meet them to ensure the ever-changing consumer needs are met.
Tapping on to this, Ancom Truelife, a growing healthcare company, has introduced an innovative line of plantbased protein milk that uses advanced formulation based on scientific research and evidence to meet a variety of special needs.
Ancom Truelife unveils its first brand
The 1st of September 2022 saw Ancom Truelife’s first ever brand launch called Healthy Nation, with its three lines of plant-based protein milk known as Get.Well, Flex.Well and Vita.Well. Each of these lines has its own scope of health benefits to offer.
Attending this launch were Datuk Hasnul Hassan (Ancom Truelife Sdn Bhd’s Executive Chairman), Joe Pramesh Ganesaguru (Chief Executive Officer) and Dato Siew Ka Wei (Ancom Nylex Berhad’s Executive Chairman) at Ancom Truelife’s headquarters at Petaling Jaya. Also present were Antah Healthcare Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Tunku Datuk Mohamed Alauddin Tunku Naquiyuddin and representatives from Watsons.
The choice of plant-based milk as the brand’s first ever product to hit the market shelves was an interesting one, and when asked the thought process behind this, Joe had a few insights to share.
“Research shows that two-thirds of the Asian population are lactose intolerant. When people find out that they are lactose intolerant, they stop taking milk. However, we need important nutrients from milk, such as protein (which helps with our muscle health) and calcium, which helps with our bone health. We hope this range of plant-based milk by Healthy Nation will help lactose intolerant people get those important nutrients,” said Joe.
He further explained that Get.Well contains high dietary fibre and is a source of calcium for building strong bones and teeth. Get.Well also aims to ease digestive system issues like gastric and reflux whilst simultaneously helping to reduce chronic inflammation issues like eczema, psoriasis as it is a gluten-free and dairy-free advanced formulation.

Flex.Well can be used for the development of strong bones for children, adults, and the elderly. It also supports heart health and maintains flexibility in joints whilst helping to reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
Meanwhile, Vita.Well offers complete nutrition for improved energy and immunity. It contains 28 vitamins and minerals, essential proteins, and 4 strains of essential probiotics. The range of products offered by Healthy Nation is aimed at catering to people with various needs in the mass market.

Working towards a healthier nation
Down the pipeline, Ancom Truelife also aims to venture into products with its own specific therapeutic areas whilst prioritising affordability. This niche product will be focusing on the post-recovery journey of people who had Covid-19. This future venture will be under the umbrella brand of Life 180°.
Adding on to the subject of a healthier nation, Dato Siew Ka Wei expressed his confidence that the post-pandemic circumstances will cement the importance of healthcare in our day-to-day lives.
“We’re confident that healthcare is important not just in combating illnesses and epidemics, but to prolong life and improve quality of life,” he added.
Ancom Truelife will be working with Antah Healthcare Group as its distribution partner to ensure the products are accessible to consumers throughout Malaysia in independent pharmacies. Consumers can also look forward to purchasing the products from Watsons in the near future.
