We All Scream for Ice-Cream

Make your own ice-cream without an ice-cream maker!

Make everyone’s favourite treat during hot and sunny days without the hassle of a machine. Making your own ice-cream also gives you control of the sugar content in your dessert while ensuring that you’re enjoying the freshest concoction of ingredients in your frozen treat.

Whipping up your own ice-cream has never been this easy! Try these recipes out and we’re positive you’ll want to make your own ice-cream thereafter.

CREAMY VANILLA ICE-CREAM

INGREDIENTS

500 ml Whipping cream
80 ml Condensed milk
1tsp Vanilla bean paste

METHOD

  1. Whip the cream until stiff peaks. Be careful not to overwhip.
  2. Then with a spatula, stir in the condensed milk and vanilla bean paste until mixed well.
  3. Pour ice-cream mixture into a container and freeze overnight.
  4. Enjoy the ice-cream as it is or mix it with your favourite treats such as almond bits, cornflakes or cookie crumbs for an added crunch.

MIXED BERRY WHIP

INGREDIENTS

500 ml Non-dairy whipping cream
80 ml Condensed milk
200 g Frozen mixed berries

METHOD

  1. Whip the non-dairy whipping cream until stiff peaks are formed.
  2. Then, mix the condensed milk and frozen berries.
  3. Gently give it a good stir and pour mixture into a container.
  4. Freeze overnight and enjoy during hot and sunny days!

NOTE: Turn this into a kid-friendly and sugar-free option by omitting the condensed milk. Instead replace it with a couple of tablespoons of honey.
